To support our students as they prepare for the IB Psychology research practicals, we recently welcomed Ms. Luu Phuoc An - a Public Health Researcher, PhD candidate at the University of Oxford, and currently working in Oxford Clinical Research, to join our IBDP Psychology class.
Drawing on her academic and clinical research experience, Ms. An guided students through key elements they will apply in their own work:
- Framing clear and purposeful research questions
- Using surveys, interviews, and observations appropriately
- Approaching and interpreting qualitative data
- Gaining insight into qualitative research through PhD-level practice
A focused and engaging session that helped students better understand what lies ahead as they begin their own Psychology research journey.
