LEARNING WALK | North American indigenous inventions through the eyes of CIS students
With the theme of North American Indigenous inventions, grade 6 students embarked on a journey to explore iconic creations such as the kayak, igloo, and snow goggles – timeless testaments to human adaptability, ingenuity, and wisdom.
The "Learning Walk" served as a remarkable culmination of their exploration, where students brought their discoveries to life through vivid models and engaging presentations. In front of parents, teachers, and peers, they guided each “guest” through captivating stories, sharing their perspectives, analyses, and reflections on the relevance of these inventions in today’s world.
This is one of the aspects that sets CIS apart – students don’t merely absorb or memorize information; they connect with it. They are encouraged to delve deeper, to feel, and to express their understanding through their own voice.
