CIS CELEBRATES H. BACH'S TRIUMPH AT WORLD SCHOLAR'S CUP
H. Bach (9th-grade student), also known as Sonic, is a true embodiment of his nickname – quick-witted, energetic, and one of the talented scholarship students at The Canadian International School (CIS). Not only known for spreading positive energy, but he is also a shining potential at the recent World Scholar's Cup Regional Round. He received a total of 4 trophies and 7 medals, showcasing outstanding achievements in various competition categories:
- 1st place in overall Champion in Senior Division
- 1st place in both individual rounds: Scholar’s Challenge and Scholar’s Bowl
- 2nd place in the Team Debate
- Top 20 for Individual Debate
These impressive accomplishments have earned H. Bach the title of first place senior, granting him the opportunity to participate in the Global Round in the upcoming August.
Sonic is also a dynamic and confident individual. He actively engaged in academic activities, notably participating in DECA Club (a platform that fosters an entrepreneurial spirit among young business enthusiasts). Sonic’s curiosity and intellectual prowess have also led him to MUN Club, where he immersed himself in urgent global issues.
Furthermore, Sonic possesses the heart of an athlete, being a member of the school’s golf team and U15 and U19 basketball teams.
Sonic contributes to the school community as a member of the House Council, prioritizing collective development among peers.
