CIS TALENTED YOUNG PIANIST SHINES ON THE WORLD STAGE
We proudly congratulate Jenny B. Tien, a Grade 9 student, for her remarkable achievement at the WPTA International Piano Competition in Italy, where she won Second Prize and the award for Best Beethoven Sonata Performance. This prestigious competition, organized by the World Piano Teachers Association, welcomes participants of all ages and skill levels.
“Practicing art involves emotional sublimation and relentless effort, with hours of practice aimed at perfection,” Jenny shares. Known for her dedication and discipline, Jenny is a recipient of the CIS Talent Scholarship for 2023-2024 and is fully supported by our school community in her journey toward excellence.
In addition to her musical accomplishments, Jenny is an active member of the DECA Club and the Rhino Awareness GIN Club. She has also been a standout athlete, earning the title of Most Valuable Player on the CIS Swimming Team, serving as Captain of the U15 Girls team, and being recognized as the Most Improved Player on the CIS Cross Country Team during the 2023-2024 academic year.
