B.R.I.D.G.E.S FOUNDATION - BUILDING BRIDGES OF INNOVATION ON TWO WHEELS

Since September 2024, weekends for a group of CIS students have begun in the quiet, early hours of the morning with a ferry crossing at Binh Khanh, followed by a 15km bike ride toward Binh Khanh Secondary School in Cần Giờ. This has become a steady, purposeful routine for the B.R.I.D.G.E.S - a student-founded and student-led non-profit initiative dedicated to sharing a passion for Robotics, coding, and practical English with suburban students.

Rather than opting for short-term charity trips, the team commits to these demanding bike rides as a way to challenge their own physical endurance and willpower, while delivering on a genuine, long-term commitment to the community.

Every B.R.I.D.G.E.S classroom is fueled by vibrant energy and curiosity, welcoming over 60 local students. From 3D design on Tinkercad, hardware programming for Robots (including LEGO EV3, Spike Prime, and VEX IQ) aligned with international WRO standards, to interactive English conversations-the entire curriculum is thoughtfully crafted by the CIS students themselves, drawing directly from their own education.

Remarkably, 15% of the funds raised after every trip are directly allocated to purchase and donate STEM kits to the host school. This tangible support empowers local teachers and students to continue hands-on experimentation, keeping the spark of innovation alive long after the formal sessions conclude.

The way B.R.I.D.G.E.S operates reflects an incredible level of maturity and responsibility for high schoolers. This growth shines through their proactive collaboration with school administrations, their ability to secure strategic sponsorships, seamless team coordination, and absolute financial transparency following every single expedition.

True to its name, B.R.I.D.G.E.S is quietly narrowing the educational divide, bringing modern technology closer to classrooms with limited resources. Thank you, team, for being the finest definition of "CIS Pride"!
(*) This journey wouldn’t be possible without our parents. Thank you for driving alongside the team and ensuring our students' safety every step of the way.
