CISS TRACK & FIELD SEASON RECAP - SWIFTER, HIGHER, STRONGER

CISS TRACK & FIELD SEASON RECAP - SWIFTER, HIGHER, STRONGER

This year’s CISS Track & Field Team consisted of Primary, Junior, Intermediate and Secondary student athletes from both BCIS and CIS. The team was coached by Ms Hayley, Ms Lynda, and Ms Helen. The young athletes always aimed high in all their training sessions, and exceeded their personal bests as if they were limitless; hoping with each opportunity to enhance their performance. “ It took a lot of dedication from the athletes to attend all the practices to prepare for the final track meet. On the meet days, all the athletes participated so well and made CISS very proud. Everyone gave 110% and did their best to represent the school.” - Coach Hayley McCulloch At the SISAC Track & Field Championships, staged at SSIS, every international school was represented.

Although the team did not make it into the top 3 in any of the overall standings, they did not let their heads hang, but rather they remained proud. They knew they had dedicated their entire selves to their performances that day. They also maintained a very supportive relationship with each other. They acknowledged that the winning title is not as important as the efforts of their teammates. This is what every team should aspire to ! A big shout out goes to Sang Hyo from Grade 6 CIS who took home the Gold Medal in the U11 Boys 100m Dash ! Tran Grade 5 CIS, Holly, Grade 4 CIS, Sally Grade 5 BCIS, and Tam Dan Grade 5 BCIS for second place overall for the 4x100m relay race!
