BCIS GIN Club to Build School for Poor Students in Dak Lak

Established in February 2016, BCIS GIN (Global Issues Network) Club has been diligently working towards their goal: in July, new classroom will be built for students at Ea Rot Village, Cu Pui Ward, Krong Bong District, Dak Lak Province to prepare for the start of school year in September. In this area, 95% of the population belongs to Minorities with no electricity, or clean water. Every daily activities are spontaneous, and self-provided. Children are in desperate need for attention and education.

On July 10, 2016, BCIS GIN Club Representative went to Ea Rot Village to gift the money amount to 50,000,000 VND for the the Village Head to prepare for the construction project. _ In the group, we have student Huynh Minh Thu (class 6.3), Le Ngoc Mai An (class 6.3), and two teachers: Ms. Nguyen Nguyen Hanh Tram (Club Advisor), and Ms. Mai Huynh Truc Phuong (CVK teacher).

In the witness of Mr. Nguyen Van Tam – People’s Committee Chairman of Cu Pui Ward, our BCIS GIN Club representative handed out the amount of 50,000,000 to Mr. Lo Tien Dung – Ea Rot Village Head, to prepare for the construction of Ea Rot Kindergarten. The money was really not of massive amount, not even enough to build a decent school for children in Ea Rot Village. However, GIN Club members feel extremely elated for lending a helping hand to give those children an opportunity for proper education.

The morning after, BCIS GIN Club received information and pictures, sent from Mr. Tam about the construction process: bulldozing, building foundation and fence. Everything seemed ready for the building of new classrooms. It was a very meaningful summer for BCIS GIN club members.
